9-best-fist-weapons-in-elden-ring-ranked

If you know how to use them right, Elden Ring’s fist weapons can be very helpful, and these are the best of the bunch.

Elden Ring has a wide range of tools that players can use to take control of their own fate. Elden Ring gives players a wide range of weapon classes and damage types to choose from, so they can make their build fit their play style. The Fist weapon class is perfect for people who like to put on a lot of gear and punch their way through enemies and bosses.

Even though fist guns don’t have as much range as other weapons, with the right stats, they can pack a huge punch. These guns also let the Tarnished make quick combos, so they can fire a few shots before most of their enemies are done swinging. With the right setup, the player can bulldoze through The Lands Between, killing enemies left and right as they go.

Caestus

Caestus
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
90 base StrikeSTR: D DEX: DSTR: lvl 8 DEX: lvl 8Endure (9 FP)1.5

This tool gets better as you get stronger and more skilled. The Endure ash of war is part of the Caestus and is a great way to take more hits while punching.

The Caestus is a good way to learn how to use hand weapons, but later weapons are much better. This weapon can be mixed with other ashes of war to make creative builds, but the Tarnished will probably still want to replace the Caestus at some point.

To get Caestus, pay Gatekeeper Gostoc 800 Runes outside the main gate of Stormveil Castle.

Katar

Katar
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
97 base Slash/PierceSTR: D DEX: DSTR: lvl 8 DEX: lvl 10Impaling Thrust (14 FP)2.5

The Katar comes with the Ash of War: Impaling Thrust. The weapon has a small handle and a short, wide blade at the end. It can be used to cut or pierce. The Katar scales are strong and quick, and they can be mixed with other war ashes.

This weapon is a good step up from the Caestus, but it doesn’t scale as well as other weapons you’ll find later in the trip. The Katar is a great addition to any outfit in Elden Ring, though, just because it looks good.

Go to Fort Gael, where it can be found in a treasure box, to get the Katar.

Iron Ball

Iron Ball
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
101 base StrikeSTR: D DEX: ESTR: lvl 11 DEX: lvl 8Endure (9 FP)2.5

This weapon is about as easy as it gets when it comes to fist weapons. It scales with strength and dexterity. Just a solid ball of iron on the Tarnished’s hand, ready to punch holes in the zombies.

The Endure firearm skill works well with this Iron Ball, so the player can stay in range and keep hitting with more blunt force. The Braggart’s Roar ash of war gives birth to the Iron Ball. This ash changes the weapon’s strong strikes and boosts its damage, defense, and stamina recovery.

Big Boggart, a Blackguard, drops the Iron Ball. If players want it early, they’ll have to end his life, which might not be such a bad thing, given how it’s supposed to end.

Spiked Caestus

Spiked Caestus
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
91 base Strike 45 Bleed buildupSTR: D DEX: DSTR: lvl 8 DEX: lvl 10Endure (9 FP)2

This weapon is almost the same as the Caestus, but it has spikes that make enemies bleed if they get in the way of the player. Bleed makes a good weapon even better, and the fact that it’s built into the Spiked Caestus makes it even better.

As with the Caestus, the Spiked Caestus comes with Endure and has a starting blood loss build of 45. Even though it’s not the best way to bleed with a fist weapon, this weapon can still hurt enemies who get too close.

Players can use bleed in fist form if they buy the Spiked Caestus from the isolated trader in Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow.

Veteran’s Prosthesis

Veteran's Prosthesis
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
85 base Slash/Pierce 53 base LightningSTR: D DEX: DSTR: lvl 15 DEX: lvl 12Storm Kick (10 FP)4

The Veteran’s Prosthesis has the awesome Storm Kick ash of war on it, which works great with lightning builds. The weapon is fun to use, but it can only be used with the Storm Kick ash of war. Players may want to keep something else on hand to deal with enemies that can’t be hurt by lightning.

This weapon isn’t available at Mountaintops of the Giants until late in Flappy Bird game, so fist weapon fans will have to use something else until they can get their hands on this beauty.

After beating Commander Niall at Castle Sol, a player can get the Veteran’s Prosthesis.

Cipher Pata

Cipher Pata
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
Slash/Pierce 85 base HolyFAITH: CFAITH: lvl 30Unblockable Blade0

Cipher Pata is an interesting fist weapon because it only scales with Faith and takes 30 Faith to use well. This weapon is the best for building hope.

The Unblockable Blade ash of war is put into Cipher Pata. This fills the blade with light and makes it send out a cutting thrust that can’t be stopped. Unblockable Blade only costs 17 FP, so people who have enough points in their mind stat can use it over and over again.

In Roundtable Hold, where the Tarnished fight Mad Tongue Alberich, you can pick up Cipher Pata.

Clinging Bone

Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
80 base Standard/Pierce 24 base MagicSTR: E DEX: C ARC: DSTR: lvl 8 DEX: lvl 22 ARC: lvl 16Lifesteal Fist (14 FP)2.5

The Clinging Bone is a lot of fun and mostly scales with agility and a little arcane. Clinching Bone is locked into the Ash of War’s Lifesteal Fist, which knocks foes out before taking their HP.

Lifesteal Fist only works on enemies that look like humans, so it probably won’t help against the huge monsters that Elden Ring likes to throw at the player. Still, Clinching Bone can save your life in tight spots, like deep caves and dungeons.

Ensha of the Royal Remains drops this fist weapon after attacking the player at Roundtable Hold.

Grafted Dragon

Grafted Dragon
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
89 base Strike 57 base FireSTR: D DEX: D FAITH: DSTR: lvl 20 DEX: lvl 14 FAITH: lvl 16Bear Witness (20 FP)2.5

There’s nothing like shooting fireballs out of a dragon’s head, especially when that dragon’s head is connected to the end of an arm like Mega Man’s Mega Buster. This weapon gets better the stronger, smarter, and more religious you are.

One of the most fun things to do in Elden Ring is to ride the Grafted Dragon through The Lands Between. The weapon is great for getting rid of large groups of enemies and killing things that are weak to fire harm. To really turn up the heat, players who want to go full dragon mode should wear a Dragon Communion Seal.

The Tarnished can get the Grafted Dragon if they beat old Godrick and give Roundtable Hold his Remembrance.

Star Fist

Star Fist
Damage TypesScalingLevel RequirementsAsh of WarWeight
105 base Strike 45 Bleed buildupSTR: D DEX: ESTR: lvl 12 DEX: lvl 8Endure (9 FP)3

Any enemy who sees the Star Fist will feel a chill go down their spine. The Star Fist has a good physical damage number and, like the Spiked Caestus, it causes blood loss over time. It weighs a little more, but that extra pound does 14 more damage.

The Tarnished can make a powerful combo with Earthquake Ash of War from Hoarah Loux and this weapon. When you use two Star Fists, you can do a little more damage than when you use two of the same weapon. Earthquake is a great ability for close fighting.

The Star Fist is near the West Capital Rampart Sire of Grace on a body in Leyndell.

You can play Elden Ring on your PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
