eCommerce website development

Whether you have recently started a small business or have stepped up your sales strategy for your company due to COVID-19, you are probably wondering how to increase sales.

The time is fast approaching, and now is the time to start your marketing strategy.

1. Create content with a local twist.

So that you can bring buyers to your doorstep or your website.

But first… understand that this year because of Covid-19 things are going to look very different. I talked about the business of your customers this time.

Now I want to show you how to increase your sales locally, so here are four ways you can grow your digital marketing and physical presence:

1. Create content with a local twist.

If you’re setting up your store, consider “shop local” digital signage that reminds people to support their community businesses. Since many consumers will be staying home this year, spending time with a select few family members, or setting up socially distant tours with friends and neighbors, it’s important to provide valuable online content as well.

According to Google, many people are finding it difficult to make in-store purchases due to COVID-19. I’m predicting that a lot of people are going to shop online for what they need instead of running out of stores.

So if you have an ecommerce development company store then this is good news.

Consider creating articles that focus on things local and even mention other small businesses (that you don’t compete with!) For example, five fun things to do in your city this season. You can write a blog but join a small business that sells essentials during the lockdown. Then, write a call to action that links to your own product or service as an excellent idea.

2. Partner with a local charity.

Many small businessmen donate time and/or money to causes that align with their values. In addition to doing a kind act, partnering with a charity can make your customers more likely to buy gifts from you.

You can donate a certain percentage of each purchase or give one item for each item purchased. Setting up some surprise gift-wrapped donation bin at your business allows you to show your customers how many items you’re giving away, or you can post photos and numbers online.

Your customers (and you) will be supporting a worthy cause, and you will be promoting your small business as well.

3. Decorate your store or website/social media profile.

Just as you might decorate your home with garlands and stockings, decorating your store and/or website and social media accounts can create a sense of celebration.

Consider using local decor to support other small businesses and reinforce the message for shopping local.

If you’re doing your decorations online, update your profile imagery and posts with some virtual holiday decor that has a local flavor. Think beyond a snowman and include an attraction nearby.

Now, when you share your sales, discounts, offers, and well-crafted content online, your followers will see something familiar.

The more you can build an ecosystem of working content and relevant imagery, the more you’ll increase your brand awareness, engagement, leads, and sales.

Wondering how to increase sales during COVID-19, a global crisis that has affected economies, supply chains, and retailers around the world. Your customers’ buying decisions this fall look completely different than they did last year

Those tried-and-true strategies that previously worked for us may no longer be. No matter what type of small business you have, it’s important to realize that as the retail landscape has changed, so should your marketing plan.

4. Host an in-store or virtual event.

If you can hold an in-store event with proper social distancing protocols, it can be a good way to get people to your business. You can provide refreshments, entertainment, and a personal shopping experience to make your customers feel special.

Now, I estimate we’ll see fewer gatherings in stores this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make events a part of your marketing strategy.

Think about how you can add your product or service to the event. What about a virtual wine night with highlights of three of your most popular gifts? Or an interactive kids’ party that shows them how to make gifts using your own products?

Use your imagination, and use free tools like Facebook Live or Facebook Groups to host your online event. Before the party, you can email invitations to your customers, share the news on social media and let people know about it on your website.

There is no doubt that something different is going to happen this year. When you’re looking to increase sales, it’s essential to use empathetic marketing techniques to connect with your audience in an authentic way.

In addition, it is important to reassure people that you are taking the necessary COVID-19 precautions, whether it is cleaning your store a certain number of times per day or clearing shipments before heading out.

By tailoring your marketing strategy to people’s new habits and preferences, you’ll be ready for success—now and throughout 2021.Do you have any ideas on how to increase sales locally?
